To transport your pet abroad, it is better to start preparing in advance, as you have to get vaccinated and collect all the necessary documents!

The most important points are:

  1. The documents
    Certificate of origin – Veterinary passport of international standard. Veterinarians know what vaccinations need to be done. Mandatory are for plague, rabies, parvovirus. You need to do them all in advance.
  2. Rabies vaccine
    This vaccination is definitely needed and if you have already given it to your pet, you need to check the deadline! This vaccination is valid for about 1 year.
    All rabies vaccines must be of an international standard!
  3. Microchip identification
    A microscopic chip is implanted under the skin of an animal (cats or dogs) that meets a certain standard.
    This procedure has a legal basis and operates on the territory of Turkey and the EU countries.
  4. Pet handling
    This procedure should be done a day or two before departure. It is done in the clinic and periodically this procedure needs to be repeated.
  5. Help that the animal is not an individual of breeding value
    It is needed so that employees can certify that you do not carry a valuable species of animal outside the country.
    The certificate can be obtained from an officially registered canine organization.
  6. Shipping container
    It must meet the standards of the International Air Carriers Association

Do not forget to take food for your pet, if it is in the luggage compartment, the food can be handed over to the company employees!
